Salary & Benefits:

  • £35,000 per annum DOE
  • Pension scheme

  • 20 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays (rising to 25 with service)

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to develop and maintain existing and new customer relationships to achieve the company’s sales target.

 

  • Be the first point of contact for incoming customer sales calls, you will provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure all customers have a good understanding of products, features, and benefits and resolve any issues promptly and efficiently
  • Provide quotations and process orders, keeping customers informed on their order progress and expected delivery dates
  • Record sales conversion rates
  • Actively seek and identify new sales opportunities and convert into new business
  • Monitor sales to ensure customer retention and repeat orders
  • Visit customers and attend trade shows as required

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience of working in a customer service and sales environment
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Knowledge of pumps features, pump selection and spare parts
  • Experience of working in manufacturing/engineering environment
  • A working knowledge of ERP systems
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent communication, influencing and problem-solving skills
  • A relevant qualification, e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2&3
