Our client is looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their team in Lancashire. The purpose of this position is to help the company increase sales and address customer needs within a specific region. As a Territory Sales Representative you will present products and services to potential clients, identify specific consumer characteristics, and recommend ways to promote and sell products. Growing the company’s customer basis and establishing the reputation in your assigned region is the priority in this position. So, to be successful in this role, demonstrating excellent communication abilities and showing a high level of motivation to meet sales goals is necessary.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maximize sales within an assigned geographic territory
  • Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within assigned territory
  • Identify local business opportunities and challenges
  • Develop and implement territory business plan in support of company goals and objectives.
  • Develop and manage sales channels for all industrial vacuum products incl. robotic gripping products in support of territory goals and objectives.
  • Conduct frequent customer visits either direct or jointly with channel partners.
  • Document and manage sales activity including customer visits, opportunities, and account information through active use of Salesforce CRM.
  • Conduct regular reviews with distributor and reps.
  • Present our products and services to prospective customers
  • Provide technical support for automation and vacuum conveying product lines.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to cultivate and manage sales activity within a region to meet individual and group sales quotas.
  • Participate in annual distributor /rep meetings, events, and activities.
  • Assist when needed with trade show preparation and coverage.
  • Report on regional sales results (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually)
  • Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions

 

Experience & Educational Background

  • 3+ years’ experience within technical sales
  • Strong knowledge in our industry markets
  • Diploma in Sales techniques

 

Skills & Capabilities

  • Work experience as a Sales Representative
  • Familiarity with our industry is a plus
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resilient with a proven track record in sales
  • Fluent English, both oral and written

 

Salary:

  • £40,000- £50,000 + 33% OTE
  • 25 Days Holiday
  • 4% employer pension contribution
