As an Area Sales Manager for general industry, you’ll be working with both new and established customers across this broad range of manufacturing segments, leveraging the firm’s highly competitive offering to build and maintain superb customer relationships and ensure continued profitable growth.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone dynamic, highly driven and results motivated. A proven track record of selling to blue chips and OEMS would be also be considered advantageous.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Further develop profitable sales of company products within your region
  • Utilise all elements of the sales process to effectively analyse, implement and control the opportunities within territory 
  • Actively grow sales of key products within the sales territory, through effective leverage of technical expertise from around the business 
  • Target appropriate customer groups to ensure the rapid and accelerated introduction of new products 
  • Ensure new facilities are targeted at the earliest possible stage in the process 
  • Forecast the sales development on a weekly basis through CRM system 
  • Undertake proposals, including the calculation of sales prices 
  • Actively demonstrate and trial products as part of the day-to-day sales process 

Skill & Experience

  • Demonstrable Engineering experience within General Industry
  • Bachelors/masters in mechanical/electrical engineering
  • Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Fluid power sales experience
  • Power tools/Air tools/Hydraulic tools
  • Proven track record of selling into OEMs/blue chip companies
  • Self motivated and an excellent communication
  • Proficiency of MS Office and LinkedIn 
  • Ability to adapt to using new technologies
