Area Sales Manager – Pumps – South West England £40k + package

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve or exceed the sales targets set by the Company
- Identify, solicit, and maintain relationships and accounts with new and existing customers
- Obtain contracts for pumps and related equipment
- Travel regularly to customer’s and prospective customer’s places of business
- Develop quotations for new pumps, parts and related equipment as well as repairs
- Proper selection and sizing of pumps and related equipment using provided selection programs and catalogs
- Review of job specifications and completion of proposals
- Compilation of submittal packages
- Create sales packages and support documentation for projects as required
- Update the shared calendar and task lists in Outlook
- Attend and participate in weekly and monthly sales meetings by making sure all task lists are updated and providing status of open quotations and jobs in progress
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable status
- Ability to pass lawful certification, background, or drug testing as required by customers and prospective customers who require such testing to access their facilities
Essential Skills:
- at least 3 years sales experience within pumps or associated industries
- Knowledge of the design and operation of pumps, motors, mechanical seals and other rotating equipment
- Successful experience maintaining existing relationships, leading to sales of product and services
- Must project a strong customer focus and professional presentation
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Effective communication skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Honesty and the highest ethical standards
- Positive attitude in a fast paced work environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer literacy and competency with Windows based programs and Microsoft Office
