Fitter / Engineer

We’re searching for an experienced Fitter/Engineer to fill an exciting opportunity for a steel supplying firm with more than 200 years of knowledge and experience, who’ve invested in new plants and technology to ensure their product quality continuously matches the world’s best standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct reactive, preventative and planned maintenance on the sites two hot rolling mills
• Deal with plant break downs, gearbox rebuilds & fabrication projects

Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of fault finding and repairing of pneumatics & hydraulics would be useful
• Welding experience
• Stripping and refurbishment of brake and clutch units, crop shears etc

The Offer

• Salary | £33,000- £45,000 per year
• Overtime | Yes – many hours available
• Shift Pattern | 2 week rotating pattern 6am-4pm Mon to Fri, 2 weeks 10pm-6.15am Sun to Thur
