As one of the company’s Product Managers, you’ll be a technical leader of the firm’s software solutions, responsible for driving software sales activities with the sales teams.

To succeed in this role you’ll need some relevant experience and to be very technically minded, as you’ll be required to become an expert in all aspects of software products, understanding the logic of how each solution works. You’ll be using your technical expertise along with your Grade A communication skills to clearly define and validate appropriate software solutions to a variety of customers.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Understand customer’s business goals, translating them into software requirements
  • Assist the company with quality, delivery and technical support matters for all products of your responsibility
  • Drive the necessary actions to resolve product quality issues until resolved
  • Maximise new business success and reduce project scope creep, by clearly defining and validating the software solution for the customer ahead of time using wireframe diagrams, data flow charts, report examples and demo systems
  • Develop training material (audio and video formats), to grow the competence of company sales teams to help better sell software solutions
  • Work with Sales to provide high-level technical assistance to customers in pre-sale activities, such as product presentations, seminars and demonstrations
  • Support the creation of product-related marketing content as required
  • Develop action plans, communications, resources and scheduling to complete tasks on time
  • Confidently liaise with multiple departments internally and with all levels of customers

Skills & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of related experience and/or training
  • Experience in Networking, Systems integrations, Microsoft Windows environments, SQL Server, APIs, AWS/Azure environments experience is essential
  • Database understanding (MYSQL, MSSQL, Oracle)
  • Basic software development experience of programming languages (C#, ASP, JAVA, Python, .Net)
  • Networking skills (IPV4, IPV6, Wireless Networking, VLAN, Switching)
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, analyse challenges in assembly processes, develop solutions to address customer needs, clearly express solutions verbally, in writing, and presentation format
  • Must possess adequate and fluent computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
  • Analytical and self-starter
  • Ability to create messaging that correlates product features to customers’ needs and wants
  • Virtual Sales Ability – effectively demonstrate company software solutions over MS teams or equivalent
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes is considered beneficial
