We are looking for someone with a strong design experience at the Project Engineer level, a demonstrable understanding of BS and EC and exceptional leadership skills. Salary:

£28,000-£32,000 DOE

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Produce civil engineering designs to support the gas/petrochemical projects, including the production of calculations, specifications, reports and drawings
  • Lead the delivery of various civil related design projects
  • Ensure projects/programmes of various sizes and complexity are delivered successfully to time, quality, and budget
  • Ensure designs, drawings, reports, correspondence, certificates, and other outputs are in line with the company processes
  • General project management duties on a range of engineering projects
  • Complete and maintain accurate project records using the company document management system
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with colleagues and actively promote a culture of teamwork
  • Liaise with clients and customers to ensure the product is fit for purpose
  • Provide supervisory support for sub-contractors, including topographical surveyors and geotechnical surveyors
  • Occasionally accompany a Project Manager on site visits and attend client meetings
  • Support, coach, and mentor colleagues
  • Check, review and approve technical documents produced by others

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications

  • Degree Qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • HNC/HND with proven experience will also be considered
  • Chartered Engineer status with Engineering Council UK desirable

Experience in…

  • Microsoft Office Software
  • Using CAD Software packages (AutoCAD/Civils 3D)
  • Civil engineering design calculations and preparation of civil engineering specifications
  • General Administrative duties
  • Past experience within utility industries desirable
  • On-site liaison experience desirable
