Setter Operator

Our Principle Consultant (RT) is representing a highly respected CNC Milling company based near Watford that require a setter operator, if you can program all the better!

Ideally you will have Heidenhain controls and DMG experience, and be able to work with engineering drawings, carry out first off inspection checks. A recognised engineering qualification in related field is also required.

Main Responsibilities

• Working from tooling information given by the designer
• Setting tools
• Defining machine datums
• Maintaining machining tolerances
• Interpreting engineering drawings
• Good time keeping
• Solid understanding of setting and operating CNC Mills – If you can program that will be highly advantageous

Essential Skills

• At least 4 years’ experience in operating, setting and operating CNC Mills.
• Ideally with experience using Heidenhain controls and DMG machines.
• Relevant engineering qualification is required. IE : Level 3 B-Tech Eng, NVQ level 3, apprentice trained.
