As the General Manager for UK & Ireland, you’ll be managing the sales office and taking responsibility for expanding the company’s presence in this region, by capitalising on the fantastic market potential.
To be considered suitable for this role, you must have worked for a hydraulics manufacturer, distributor, or in a closely associated market, and be highly motivated to help achieve the firm’s ambitious growth plans.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the UK & Ireland Sales Centre, accounting for an annual turnover in excess of €22M
- Enhance and evolve the company’s existing sales strategy for UK & Ireland
- Evaluate current sales processes and implement methods for optimisation
- Create and develop new customer relations, whilst enhancing existing relationships
- Maintain regular contact and liaise closely with global competence centres
- Work with HR and Finance to co-ordinate salaries, holiday, employee inductions, budgets, sales planning, and invoice sign-offs
- Communicate effectively with your 5 direct reports (2 internal, 3 external)
Essential Skills & Experience
- Knowledge and experience in hydraulics (manufacturer/distributor), or a closely associated market
- Competent knowledge of off-highway and customer awareness
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience
- Proven ability to lead a small team
- Demonstrable experience managing a small site (operational management)
- Solid leadership track record, and ability to develop a national strategy
- Outstanding communication skills
- Possessing good company contacts within the industry would be considered advantageous
