If you’re a qualified engineer with Rotating equipment experience, we’d like to present a chance to join a market leading pump specialist with more than 25 years experience in Total Asset Management.
As a Workshop Fitter, you’ll ensure the accurate stripping and assessment of rotating equipment, liaising with the administration staff and Workshop Supervisor, and completing RCAs.
This job is predominantly based within workshop, although on-site work will be required to carry out pump repairs and you may be required to work away from home to support various contracts.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- To carry out repairs plus overhaul off pumps and related equipment
- Communicate coherently and liaise with the internal organisation
- Attend customer sites and branches to support other workshops
- Mainly based in the workshops but on site work will also be required
- Ensure accurate assessments are completed and in a timely manner
- Promote excellence in working practices, including:
– Health, safety and environmental compliance
– Team behaviour
– Housekeeping
– Continuous improvement
Essential Skills & Experience
- Full Mechanical apprenticeship
- Good engineering practice and ability to use engineering measuring equipment
- Good range of engineering experience, including rotating equipment, bench fitting, and on-site diagnosis
- Desire to provide exceptional customer service and be a contact point for local customers
- Eager to assist in the continuous improvement of the organisation
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Electrical training and basic electrical experience
- Site work experience
- Safety passport
- Pump OEM training
- Site work experience
- Experience in any of the following; Condition monitoring, Mechanical seal repair, Laser Alignment training
