We’re searching for a results orientated Sales Manager to present a great opportunity to join a global specialist in automated process components and solutions, offering an attractive salary and fantastic OTE.

Your role as Area Sales Manager is to help increase sales and address customer needs within your specified region, by presenting company products and services to potential clients, and identifying specific consumer characteristics in order to better promote and sell the company’s products.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be highly motivated to meet sales goals and have the communications skills to be able to grow and establish the company’s reputation in your region. You’ll be working with some large accounts, so some demonstrable experience in automation and control is preferred.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maximise sales in your territory by identifying customer needs and recommending product solutions
  • Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within your territory
  • Identify local business opportunities and challenges
  • Develop and implement territory business plan in support of company goals and objectives
  • Develop and manage sales channels for all industrial vacuum products in support of territory goals
  • Conduct frequent customer visits either direct or jointly with channel partners
  • Document and manage sales activity incl. customer visits, opportunities etc. through Salesforce CRM
  • Conduct regular reviews with distributors and reps
  • Present company products and services to prospective customers
  • Provide technical support for automation and vacuum conveying product lines
  • Collaborate with other departments to cultivate and manage sales activity to meet sales quotas
  • Participate in company hosted hosted annual distributor/rep meetings, events, and activities
  • Assist when needed with trade show preparation and coverage
  • Report on regional sales results weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually

Skills & Experience 

  • 3+ years experience within technical sales
  • Strong knowledge in relevant industry markets
  • Diploma in Sales techniques
  • Work experience as a Sales Representative
  • Familiarity with the industry is desriable
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resilient with a proven track record in sales
  • Fluent English, both oral and written
