We want to talk to passionate Business Development Executives, about an opportunity to join a major distributor of hydraulic and pneumatic components to a global marketplace across a diverse range of industries.

Working as part of a team within the Hydraulics and Pneumatics Divisions, your purpose as a Business Development Executive is to provide outstanding levels of service, thereby maximising the sales potential of new and prospective customers. Broadly, this will be achieved by cold calls, computerised quotations, order entry/progressing and frequent customer contact via telephone, e-mail and, occasionally, in person.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Proactively contact low/non-spending accounts to rejuvenate business
  • Follow up quotations to ensure they’ve been received and actively progressed in order to convert quotes to sales orders
  • Achieve certain levels of quote conversion, sales turnover and most importantly, total gross margin contribution
  • Manage and ensure the continued spend of the newly created customer base
  • Enter all sales orders onto “mainframe” system immediately upon receipt, enabling the MRP system to generate required purchase/works orders
  • Establish payment method and delivery arrangements upon receiving an order, ensuring information is entered correctly and clearly
  • Process all customer visit requests, ensuring they’re booked and recorded accurately on the company database
  • Regularly contact dormant/low spending accounts to establish reasons for reduced/non spend
  • Engage in a minimum of 10 cold calls per day to new, non spending or prospect accounts

Skills & Experience 

  • IT literate
  • Passion for delivering outstanding Customer Service
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to cope well under pressure
  • Motivated by a results/target environment

Working Hours
Monday to Friday 0800-1700
