Electrical / Mechanical Engineer

We’re looking for Electricians qualified to industrial 3 phase to 18th edition, to present an opportunity to join a leading reseller of metal finishing machinery as an Electrical / Mechanical Engineer.

Full time position – 40 hours per week split across 4 working days (4 x 10 hour shits) 

As an Electrical / Mechanical Engineer, you’ll assist the Operations Management in various aspects, operating machinery and equipment as required to complete all daily production tasks.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating machinery and equipment as required to support the needs of the business
• Assist with the achievement of the Operations KPI’s
• Adhere to all appropriate safety regulations ensuring compliance to company policy and legislation
• Maintain the housekeeping and cleanliness of your work bay and wider area
• Ensure proper maintenance of tooling and equipment at all times
• Identify opportunities to improve the performance of the Operations area and business
• Minimise production costs and wastage
• Occasionally undertake site visits to support warranty work, servicing and commissioning/decommissioning of equipment
• Function to the best of your ability within the Operations Team, treating other members of staff with dignity and respect

Skills & Experience 

Essential

• Maintenance in electrical and mechanical engineering
• Recognised engineering qualification, ideally HNC or above
• Industrial 3 phase electrical qualification to 18th edition

Desirable

• Ability to assess and report on the condition of incoming machinery
• Complete necessary repairs to machines to return them to working condition
• Experience working on electrical ovens, furnaces, industrial parts cleaners, blasters etc.
