Electronic Engineer

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Electronic Engineer, educated to degree level, to join a stand out solutions provider in the Oil & Energy sector.

As an Electronic Engineer you’ll work primarily within the Electronic R&D team, responsible for helping to expand and enhance the range of services the company provides.

Electronic Engineer Key Duties & Responsibilities 

• Design electronics for surface and downhole tools, including analysis, schematic capture and simulation
• Develop hardware and software for testing and production
• Plan, prepare and conduct the qualification of new designs and technology
• Generate engineering reports and operating and build procedures
• Maintain clear documentation on design & test development
• Support internal and external customers on technical queries
• Support operations by working at client sites

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Degree qualification in Electronics Engineering
• Previous experience in electronic design
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with standard computer applications

Desirable 

• Experience in the oil and gas sector
• Experience with high temperature electronics
• Analogue and low power electronics design experience
• Experience of hybrid or multi-chip modules
• Experience of PCB layout
• Software/firmware programming
• Ability and willingness to occasionally travel, possibly offshore
