We’re searching for qualified electronic engineers experienced in electronic design, to discuss an exciting opportunity to join a global, leading provider of wireless down-hole communications systems.

Therefore they are looking to add an enthusiastic and driven Electronic Engineer to their team. you’ll primarily be working within the Electronics R&D team to expand and enhance the range of services that the company provides.

Candidates from Oil & Gas, Defence, Space, Aerospace and Nuclear backgrounds are all welcome to apply.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Design electronics for surface and downhole tools, including analysis, schematic capture and simulation

  • Develop hardware and software for testing and production

  • Plan, prepare and conduct the qualification of new designs and technology

  • Generate engineering reports and operating & build procedures

  • Maintain clear documentation on design & test development

  • Support internal and external customers on technical queries

  • Support operations by working at client sites

 

Skills & Experience 

Required

  • Degree qualification in Electronics Engineering

  • Previous experience in electronic design

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with standard computer applications

Desirable

  • Experience in the oil and gas sector

  • Experience with high temperature electronics

  • Analogue and low power electronics design experience

  • Experience of hybrid or multi-chip modules

  • Experience of PCB layout

  • Software/firmware programming

  • Ability to travel possibly offshore on an occasional basis
