Engineering Technician & Workshop Supervisor

We’re looking for someone with a demonstrable background in mechanical engineering to join an established global engineering company.

Based out the company’s facility in Andover, the Engineering Technician & Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for managing their own time, ensuring all aspects of the role are carried out efficiently.

You’ll need to have a recognised engineering/technical qualification and solid computer skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

• Repair, service and assemble rotating unions
• Oversee workshop activities
• Identify and repair rotating unions under warranty
• Unpack and put goods into stock
• Enter incoming shipments onto the company software system
• Input shipping and purchasing goods on the company software system
• Use a Fork Truck to unload and load shipments
• Stock checks
• Stock control
• Basic building and machine maintenance

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Demonstrable background in mechanical engineering
• Experience working within a similar industry
• Hold a recognised engineering/technical qualification
• Good IT/Computer skills

Desirable

• Experience in Logistical
• Be able to operate Lathe and Milling Machines
• Experience in operating a forklift truck
• A team player who is keen to use their own initiative
• Willingness to undertake additional training
