As a Field Sales Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing accounts within your territory and increasing market share by selling the company’s wide range of high quality Compressed Air, Process Chilling & Vacuum equipment, across the Midlands area.

If you have a good sales background, positive attitude and aptitude to learn, then you’re likely a great fit.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Promote the business throughout your region, supporting the Sales Manager and team in achieving sales and developing the customer base
  • Undertake proposals, including the calculation of sales prices to close sales
  • Support sales with demonstrations, exhibitions, and negotiations in order to achieve targets
  • Support sales through site surveys and providing technical advice to both existing and potential customers
  • Ensure an excellent standard of after sales service is consistently provided
  • Effective provision of sales data, including the timely recording of visit, action, and lost order reports, plus analysis of sales performance against budget

Skills & Experience 

  • Proven sales experience, selling capital equipment
  • Full UK driving license, as you’ll be travelling on a daily basis across your region
  • Proficiency in IT skills, with a desire to learn new systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Experience or knowledge of the compressed air industry is desirable
  • A technical background or qualification is also desirable
