We’re looking for mechanical engineers ideally with experience in lubrication technology, to present an exciting vacancy for a market leading, plant reliability specialist throughout the UK and Europe.

Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30  Friday 08:00 – 14:00 | 24 days annual holiday with 8 public holidays

As a Lubrication Technician, you’ll be providing a various range of rotating and static equipment lubrication services. You’ll spend the majority of your time working on-site for our clients, in regular contact with company personnel and the customer. To succeed in this role you’ll need a good electronic/mechanical background, be meticulous in your approach, and be confident providing client facing services on-site.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Confidently carry out lubrication activities such as oiling, greasing, oil changes and collecting oil samples
  • Perform basic first pass analysis and identify faults that are a potential threat to a client’s reliability program
  • Update client CMMS systems, reporting on what has been performed
  • Demonstrate to the client a high level of service is always being delivered in a professional manner
  • Promote company services where appropriate when interacting, seizing opportunities to cross sell
  • Deliver specific asset management services to improve client equipment availability & reliability
  • Ensure services are delivered on time and in accordance with approved technical, operational, and HSEQ standards
  • Effectively report to line management regarding operational objectives, achievements, opportunities or risk
  • Co-operate with peers on future business development, advising management of potential new business opportunities
  • Ensure Method Statements, COSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments and SOPs are in place, informing management if documentation is incorrect or missing and report any HSEQ issues
  • Be responsible for you own work, organising the delivery of all specified site services, assisting the Site/Operations Manager to optimise performance, in compliance with all business systems, processes and standards
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained in a serviceable condition and within the calibration QAP control procedure

Skill & Experience 

Essential 

  • HNC in Maintenance/Engineering discipline
  • 4 years’ experience with mechanical systems (Pumps, Fans, Gearboxes, Blowers etc.) and/or Lubrication Technologies
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure
  • Demonstrable ability to investigate and solve problems as they arise
  • Effective and confident communicator

Desirable

  • HND or above, HSEQ experience, mechanical apprenticeship
  • Condition Monitoring data collection or experience (specific training will be provided)
  • Experience in Machinery Alignment and/or Mechanical Seals
  • Excellent awareness of industrial equipment operation /maintenance and compliance / regulations
  • Senior CM/Team Leading experience of multi-skilled teams for a services provider
  • Ability to lead small teams and basic contract management
  • Flexible approach to travel and time away from home location (if required)
  • Performed lubrication activities or Lubrication Management (Although training can be provided)
