We’re on the lookout for a Marketing Assistant that’s confident with lead generation, to join a leading international manufacturer of fluid handling components.

As a Marketing Assistant your responsibilities will include coordinating with both internal and external teams to ensure marketing KPIs are met and communicated centrally.

Another key responsibility is lead generation, so you must be confident when speaking to prospective customers and able to manage leads for new accounts and maintaining existing ones.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Managing the lead tracker – analysis of all leads entering the business to provide suggestions on target markets per sales area
  • Lead generation – generate and provide the external Team with qualified contacts for brand new companies of interest
  • Attending industry events, conference and trade shows, representing the company to gain new leads
  • Data analysis and corroboration of marketing prospect lists to generate and qualify leads
  • Make suggestions to the Marketing Manager for social media posts about people, product or performance
  • Produce press releases and news articles for trade organisations
  • Use Google analytics to generate monthly reports
  • Proofread brochures and literature provided by Central Marketing
  • Assist in providing body text and design suggestions for new materials to support campaigns
  • Work closely with the external sales team to support their enquiries
  • Host regular calls and meetings with the sales team to identify key markets for development and potential customers within these markets
  • Upkeep of CRM systems including contact information for marketing functions
  • General marketing admin including raising POs and tracking invoices

Skills & Experience 

  • Engineering time served, or experience in a similar role is desired but not essential as full training will be given
  • Experience of working with CRM systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Experience in monitoring and measuring different marketing KPIs including use of Google Analytics
  • Ability to learn and understand new technology to effectively articulate the benefits to perspective clients
  • Proactive communicator who will pick up the phone and call the team and customers to develop leads, not just reactive phone calls
  • Good control of the English language including proper spelling and grammar and interesting vocabulary for articles
  • Extremely organised – you will have several tasks on the go at once
  • Confident phone manner – able to communicate with new customers about our products and offering
