We’re looking for an experienced Sales Professional possessing the skills to manage a develop and team, to offer an exciting opportunity with an internationally established hydraulics parts provider.

They’re seeking a Sales Office Manager committed to supporting and developing their industrial and offshore sales co-ordinator teams, ensuring queries and sales orders are processed and dispatched with a high level of accuracy to help the company achieve its growth objectives.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Manage, support, and develop the industrial and offshore sales co-ordinator teams
  • Ensure telephone and written queries are responded to promptly and professionally
  • Ensure all sales orders are processed efficiently through the system in accordance with the Quality Manual procedures
  • Liaise with other departments ensuring delivery deadlines are met, working together to resolve any problems that may affect “on time” despatch, i.e. credit, availability, returns etc.
  • Support the engineers with feedback on customers or market information
  • Manage the preparation and distribution of despatch documentation to ensure on-time despatch
  • Liaise with product specialists and sales engineers, both in the UK and Germany, on matters relating to product specification and/or availability
  • Provide training and support to develop new team members, imparting your product and job knowledge
  • Ensure the allocation of customers is fairly proportioned between co-ordinators so they have sufficient time to deal with customers’ requests
  • Responsible for the correct retention and disposal of documents, complying to relevant law and cooperating with the Finance Manager
  • Handle difficult or complex enquiries/customers escalated by the co-ordinators
  • Conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to individual team members
  • Attend weekly production meetings for the Offshore Department

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this Sales Office Manager role, the succesful candidate will possess the following:

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE Level in English and Maths (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2 years’ experience of working in a sales office environment
  • Experience of dealing with customers and order processing via phone, e-mail, in person
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • IT literate – MS Suite, SAP, and experience in E Commerce
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your own time, achieve deadlines, and apply a flexible approach to work
  • Commitment to personal and team development
  • Mediation skills and ability to resolve conflict

Desirable

  • Customer service or telephone sales training
  • Experience of supervising others
  • Experience of working within a technical environment and with quality standards
  • Hydraulic & technical awareness/aptitude
