Sales & Service Support Engineer

Our client is a well known Robot Arm manufacturer, and are seeking an internal sales/service support person to join the team in Warrington. This Sales & Service Support Engineer role could become a remote working function as the successful candidate develops in the role.

It’s a great opportunity for a dynamic individual to join the company in a hybrid type role, covering all areas of service and sales, primarily a support function but this could develop as a solid career progression into a more focused role either in service or sales.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

• Support company sales & service team with day-to-day activities, booking appointments, generating quotes, dealing with customer enquiries
• Researching new business opportunities and generating new sales leads, assisting the sales and service team to increase sales
• Action all customer enquiries promptly and pass onto relevant team members
• Prepare and present detailed quotations and specifications ensuring customer requirements are met for design, projects or order processing
• Propose and present technical solutions to customers as required
• Negotiate contracts & review terms & conditions in line with company policy
• Coordinating the activities of others to meet customer specifications/requirement (e.g. Applications Team, Service Team or Third Party)
• Producing & submitting business reports (e.g. sales activity, application reports, sector analysis, competitor analysis)

Skills & Experience 

• A formal engineering qualification is desired but not essential
• Experience in service sales with a customer service background would be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A thorough approach to tackling problems and the ability to work methodically
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Full clean driving licence
• Most importantly, the successful candidate must be keen, ambitious with the desire to build a solid career in industrial automation/robotics
