We’re a looking for a technically minded and experienced Support Specialist, to join a global leader in motion and control technologies, operating in a diverse range of markets and industries. You’ll be working in a dynamic customer facing environment, as part of a team with a strong collaborative and supportive culture.

As a Technical Support Specialist, you’ll provide technical support and advice to customers on Hydraulic components and systems, offering premier customer experience, combining solid technical skills with great communication.

This role offers the opportunity to apply your expert product knowledge and play an active role in improving team processes to ensure the team pushes to deliver and exceed company goals.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Provide product related technical resolutions to customer enquiries for hydraulic pump/motor/valve ranges, with back up support on other company product technologies as required
  • Maintain communications with various manufacturing locations and technical teams to develop a strong working relationship
  • Answer pricing queries working alongside the strategic pricing team, ensuring pricing is in line with corporate guidelines, i.e. Gross Margin levels, and creating quotations as required.
  • Work closely with all value streams and the wider company teams, providing support and advice as required
  • Play an active role in improving team processes in order to enhance performance and customer experience
  • Follow guidelines to ensure a high standard of data quality across all company systems

Skills & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree with technical orientation, or equivalent experience working with hydraulic systems and components
  • Strong ambition to become a trusted source of knowledge in Hydraulic product areas with a willingness to solve problems
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a mindset to provide an excellent customer experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels
  • JDE mainframe, OEC and Siebel system skills desirable.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and proactively take on tasks in a high activity environment
  • Effective planner and organiser, with high attention to detail
  • Interest in continuous improvements and a willingness to join and drive cross functional projects
  • Prepared to work, on occasion, from other locations as the need arises
